GMIT Chaplaincy

Welcome to Chaplaincy GMIT

Although we are a Catholic Chaplaincy it doesn't mean that we confine our welcome or our work to only catholic students and staff. There is a welcome there for all, and, we do interact and work on a daily basis with students of all faiths and none.

We are very conscious of a growing trend of students attending GMIT from all over the world. Many have settled here in Ireland in recent years. Others, like the Chinese students are a more recent development. We enjoy meeting with one and all. In fact, we are closely involved with the Excursion society and encourage students to meet and interact with each other. We organise various trips aimed at integrating Irish and foreign students. Many students from different backgrounds reguraly meet with us in our offices and drop-in room, as well as more informally around the campus.

Christian students from other denominations can consult with us for details regarding their own churches or communities.

We are in constant touch too with our Muslim students.

Whether you are a student or a member of staff the door is always open to you.
